But both characters are a bit too nice to get so catty over a guy.
I mean, I love Martha to death and I'm starting to like Rose (I have problems with characters that don't have personality), and both are very nice girls who are also smart enough not to try and pick fights with each other. Rose doesn't have competition with Martha anyway. The Tenth Doctor is forever carrying her torch. Plain and simple.
can you really blame her for falling for the doctor though? honestly? a brilliant, wonderful man who takes you to see the world, showing you all of space and time. i liked her first episode and her appearances on torchwood. the first ep showed her loving the adventure of it all. "how many people can say that they've been on the moon?" and her answering the doctor's "we might die" with a "we might not." i felt that she was really didn't care as long as there was excitement. she was also kind of a badass in torchwood, and it showed how she'd grown and realize that as great as the doctor is, she can't depend on him all the time and stand on her own two feet. i really disliked the direction of her character when they made her too clingy. i felt that the writers could have allowed her to give the doctor a fresh new start rather than making him whingy and clinging to the sadness of rose's leaving. it made less impact for her departure and didn't give enough respect to new companions

Realllyy coool! Makes me laugh sooo much! Umm...I spotted this picture as an avatar on someone's profile on fanfiction.net...I can't remember who it was, but I hope it was you! I'd just thought I'd let you know, coz' I hate it when people nab stuff that doesn't belong to them.
I LOVE Martha.. have no idea why Rose is still actin' like a child - typical her, I guess that's why she's dressed as one. Martha and Rose will be awesome together, no ranting at all. After the hell Martha went through with the doctor, saving his life - Rose OWES Martha respect and gratitude.
